The power of Muay Thai figher’s kicks will slowly and surely wear down the opponent. Muay Thai fighter trains by strenghtening their power in their kicks but not in their punch. If you are fighting a Muay Thai fighter, you will need to either avoid the fighter’s kicks or out kick the Muay Thai fighter. Meaning you have to train harder in your kicks. Karate on the other hand focus more on their hands. And the speed of attack with hands more but also with leg kicks. But Karate does not focus as much power into its leg kicks. Although powerful, but not as focus or as powerful than that of Muay Thai’s kicks. Remember where you saw how Muay Thai fighter trained? By kicking down a banana tree, yes they train in order to be able to kick down a banana tree. And this can be done. Look at one of the famous Muay Thai fighter (BuaKaw, where one of his training video was release in the internet, showing how he in one single video shot, from starting to kick the banana tree until the tree was broken into two, just in minutes). So think, if your Muay Thai opponent can do that to a tree! What can he do to your body, legs and head! Therefore, although Muay Thai fighters do not have many special moves, they ensure that their few figthing moves like kicking, albow and kneeing is deadly effective once upon impact to his/her opponent’s body, leg and head.
