The whirlwind catapult was light weight, mobile and can launch an attack very easily. Soldiers used the whirlwind catapult as siege weapons and a defense weapon as well. During defense, it can be moved to any parts of the castle under attacked and immediately launch a counter-attack.
Cloud Bridges are used to capture a castle and not destroying it. The attacker might have thousands of cloud bridges against the castle wall with attacking soldiers hiding inside the cloud bridges moving towards the castle walls. These giant cloud bridges were pulled by oxes/cows inside the siege machine as well. Defending against the cloud bridges, defense soldiers and generals will use fire or flame throwers to burn them down.
